"Herceg Novi calls - party, sun, sea" - is the slogan of the 56th Mimosa Festival. Mimosa is the first association with this town. It is believed that this plant brings happiness. It symbolizes strength, eternal love - the one that never stops, never dies, and therefore mimosa is a symbol of immortality.

In addition to the traditional parade of majorettes and city music, the central event is a concert by two regional stars - Ana Bekuta and Hanka Paldum.
Saturday, February 15th, brings a performance by Goca Tržan in Baošići, and in the evening, a masquerade ball will be held at the Igalo Institute, where guests will be entertained by Indira Levak. But the fun doesn't end there! If you're not really a fan of masked parties, then come to the Garavi sokak concert, which will also be held in Igalo.
Hari Mata Hari, the group Crvena jabuka and Džiboni will also perform. A novelty introduced this year is a competition in making “pasta šute”, which will be held at Škver on February 19th. Tips for visitors

1. Enjoy the local gastronomy! During the traditional Mimosa Harvest along the entire Riviera, you can enjoy trying fish, seafood and of course wine! They say that the dishes you can taste in Herceg Novi best reflect the past life in this town. It combines Balkan, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Sounds tempting to experiment with flavors, don't you agree? Visit Herceg Novi and discover the flavors of the Riviera! And read about other places to visit in Herceg Novi here.
2. Although it is a town with over 200 sunny days, bring something warm to wear, because the Mimosa Festival is an overture to spring, but February can be deceptive, so don't let it fool you.
3. When leaving, be sure to take a yellow mimosa flower with you for good luck! Interestingly, the mimosa is the only flower that blooms during the winter, which carries a strong message if you think a little deeper. It thrives and survives even when the weather conditions are unfavorable, beautifying the entire coast. Therefore, it tells us that the greatest strength is within ourselves and that regardless of the circumstances around us, we should always preserve the good in us. Because that's the only way we protect ourselves and refine the world around us!
